Checking every country for records being broken.
How this works
For each country this page loads the same data as its own page and checks every measure in its Records card, at every threshold, in GW and as a share of generation. A spell counts here if it is still running at the end of the data and has lasted at least an hour.
Breaking a record means the running spell is already longer than any before it at that threshold. Closing in means it has reached 80% of the record. Long-running streaks are records that have been running for more than 30 days, such as Britain going without coal. For each measure only one threshold is shown: the hardest one being beaten, or else the one closest to its record.
Countries marked live update through the day. The others publish their data weeks late, so their spells are as of the latest data, and may already have ended.
